Korea Floating Wind (KFWind) visited an office at the fishing village to communicate with residents and fishermen in Dong-gu, Ulsan about the promotion of the floating offshore wind power generation project, together with other developers.
On August 29th, the residents showed interest in the coexistence of the fisheries industry and compensation for fishing at the Bangeojin Fishing Village Office in Dong-gu, Ulsan, with about 30 residents, including the Bangeo-dong fishing village chief and members.
At the briefing session, KFWind emphasized that “We are well aware of the concerns of local residents and fishermen related to the offshore wind power project in Ulsan, and we will do our best to contribute to local communities, which can coexist with residents through continuous communication.”
Since signing an MoU with fishermen in Ulsan to install Lidars in May 2020, KFWind has held several business briefings with various fishermen’s organizations in Ulsan to introduce the KFWind projects. In the future, KFWind will continuously visit local communities to communicate with residents in order to inform them of our projects in Ulsan and collect various opinions.
