KF Wind announced that on the 11th, it participated in a beach clean-up activity at Jinha Beach in Ulju County, together with the Ulsan Floating Offshore Wind Power Association (hereinafter referred to as “UFOWPA”) and the Ulsan Chamber of Commerce and Industry (UCCI), to protect the local marine environment.

In commemoration of UN World Environment Day (June 5), around 30 executives and staff members from the five development companies under UFOWPA—including KF Wind—and UCCI participated in the beach clean-up activity. The participants collected trash around the Jinha Beach area, raising awareness of marine litter issues and working together to prevent pollution in the ocean, the lifeline of a sustainable future.

This initiative was particularly meaningful as it brought together the five private investment developers actively promoting offshore wind power projects in the Ulsan sea area to demonstrate their collective commitment to local environmental protection and sustainable co-prosperity.

Austin Park, KF Wind's project director, stated, “It was truly rewarding to see executives and staff from KF Wind, along with the five development companies under UFOWPA and UCCI, come together with a shared sense of responsibility and action for the environment. Moving forward, we will continue to actively participate in various environmental protection activities to help build a sustainable foundation for the community.”

Meanwhile, KF Wind is currently developing wind power projects KFW 1, KFW 2, and East Blue Power (EBP), which together represent a 1,125 MW floating offshore wind farm in the exclusive economic zone, located 80 kilometers off the coast of Ulsan. KF Wind has obtained the Electricity Business License (EBL), granting exclusive development rights and grid connection capacity, completed the Environmental Impact Assessment (EIA) process to evaluate and predict the environmental effects of projects, and signed the Transmission Service Agreement (TSA) with KEPCO ensuring clean power into Korea’s national grid.
