On July 8, Ocean Winds, majority shareholder of KF Wind, participated in the Annual Safety Conference hosted by KOSHA at KINTEX—a key gathering of government, industry, and safety experts in Korea.
This year’s event marked a significant milestone, as it featured—for the first time—a dedicated session on offshore wind, underscoring Korea’s accelerating push toward renewable energy transition and its national target of achieving 14 GW of offshore wind capacity by 2030.
Representing the offshore wind industry and G+ Global Offshore Wind Health and Safety Organization, Guzman Figar, Country Manager for Ocean Winds in Korea, shared Ocean Winds’ comprehensive approach to Health & Safety and the lessons learnt in Ocean Winds after having completed the construction of four offshore projects, with three more currently undergoing construction.
We were deeply encouraged by the high level of engagement and the rigorous approach demonstrated by the Korean government, supply chain and key stakeholders toward health and safety in the offshore sector.
Our sincere appreciation goes to KOSHA and G+ for the opportunity to contribute to this exchange and to reaffirm our commitment to building a safer offshore wind industry in Korea and beyond.
