Synopsis

Need a lawyer? He practices law in his Lincoln and is ready to hit the gas. Moving around Los Angeles, he takes up business, while combining his personal life, which includes the role of a father and the presence of two ex-wives.

The series was originally slated to air on CBS in 2020, but was canceled shortly before filming the first episode due to COVID. . Netflix has now picked up a 10-episode first season based on Mickey Haller’s second book, The Copper Verdict.

Personalized California license plates allow a maximum of seven letters/numbers, but all Mickey plates contain a minimum of eight. A lawyer rehabilitated from drug addiction, who has two ex-wives, a daughter and a passion for cars, gets involved in a high-profile case after the death of a friend. This comes with practice and more minor things that he can’t handle.

This intriguing premise creates a backdrop full of possibilities for a legal procedural series

The show takes this into account, adds a strong cast, well thought out and delivered dialogue and an interesting plot and moves forward at a good pace. Some of the cinematography is awkward, especially the focus shift shots and some orange tints, although overall it works as it should. Mickey’s driver, Izzy, is often used as a plot device, but despite its obviousness, it feels natural and fits the story.

It is interesting, fun and pleasant – I highly recommend it
